We work with Fire Alarm and Security Companies as low-voltage subcontractors.

  1. Understanding the Scope of Work: Mammoth -Systems  first reviews the project plans and specifications provided by the fire protection company. This includes understanding the layout, conduit sizes, and the specific requirements for housing fire protection system wiring (e.g., fire alarms, control panels, or sprinkler system monitoring).

  2. Coordination with the Fire Protection Contractor: Close collaboration is essential to ensure the conduit placement aligns with the fire protection system's design. This includes determining the locations of fire alarm control panels, pull stations, detectors, and other devices.

  3. Compliance with Codes and Standards: Mammoth works with the Fire Protection Contractor to  ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, fire safety standards (like NFPA 70 - National Electrical Code), and any other applicable regulations. Fire protection systems often have stricter requirements for conduit materials and installation methods.

Run Pipe

Material Selection and Procurement: The Mammoth works with you to select the appropriate conduit type (e.g., EMT, Rigid, or PVC) based on the environment and fire protection system needs. For example, rigid metal conduit might be required in areas with high fire risk.

Conduit Installation: Mammoth installs the conduit according to the project design. This involves:

  • Measuring and cutting conduit to the required lengths.

  • Bending conduit to fit around obstacles or follow the building’s structure.

  • Securing conduit to walls, ceilings, or other surfaces using appropriate fasteners.

  • Ensuring proper spacing and alignment for a clean, professional installation.

Pull Wire

Pulling Wires: Mammoth pulsl the fire protection system wiring through the conduit. This step requires careful handling to avoid damaging the wires and ensuring proper labeling for easy identification.

Testing and Inspection: Once the conduit is installed, Mammoth Quality Division assists in the inspection to ensure it meets code requirements and project specifications. Mammoth might also assist in testing the system for functionality.

Mount Devices

Mounting Devices: Mammoth mounts the devices per drawings and locations with the appropriate mounting brackets and securing to the wall, floor, ceiling or door ways.

Terminate & Label

Terminating and Labeling the wires after they have been ran through the conduit with great detail and documentation with what area is where and the device is at with a number or words per drawings.

Documentation and Handover: Mammoth provides documentation of the work completed, including as-built drawings if there were any changes during installation. This ensures the fire protection company has accurate records for future maintenance or upgrades.

Ongoing Communication: Throughout the process, Mammoth Systems maintains open communication with the fire protection company and other trades on-site to avoid conflicts and ensure the project stays on schedule.

This collaboration ensures the fire protection system is installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant standards.
